What is Blood Cancer Center?

The Blood Cancer Center is in charge of diagnosing and treating various blood cancers such as acute and chronic leukemia, malignant lymphoma, and multiple myeloma, as well as other blood disorders such as anemia and abnormal hemostasis. We are doing our best to diagnose and treat various blood cancers with the best medical staff and the latest equipment.

    Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation
    The Department of Hematology at Kyungpook National University Hospital has started hematopoietic stem cell transplantation using peripheral blood rather than bone marrow for the first time in Korea since it began operating a sterile room in July 1998. We have a lot of experiences conducting allogeneic and autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation to treat various blood cancers such as malignant lymphoma and multiple myeloma, including leukemia.

    New drugs and clinical trials
    Patients can participate in a variety of clinical trials to improve the quality of care and have opportunities of taking treatment unsing new drugs. There is no need to visit other regions to take latest treatments, and patients can take various treatments in your hometown.
