Since its opening in January 2011, Kyungpook National University Chilgok Hospital has achieved remarkable growth over the past 15 years, establishing itself as the region’s leading cancer treatment center, geriatric hospital, and children's hospital. Additionally, with the opening of the building6 in 2021 and an expansion to 700 additional beds, the hospital has become the largest medical institution in the region, now operating over 1,300 beds.
Notably, as a designated COVID-19 response hospital, we stood firm with our community throughout the pandemic, overcoming challenges together with trust and resilience. As a result, in 2021, our hospital was selected as the Infectious Disease Specialist Hospital for the Gyeongbuk region. We are now making significant progress toward the construction of a Infectious Disease Specialist Hospital.
Furthermore, in 2022, our hospital was selected for the National University Hospital Clinical Education and Training Center Support Project. To strengthen the healthcare capabilities of medical professionals within our hospital and across regional medical institutions, we recently commenced construction of the Clinical Education and Training Center.
Over the past 15 years, our hospital has been dedicated to pursuing our mission of providing the best education, research, and medical care.
