Vascular Surgery

Introduction of department
What is Vascular Surgery ?

Vascular surgery is a sub-section of surgery that studies, diagnoses, and treats arteriovenous diseases, lymphatic disease, vascular trauma, and vascular labor-related diseases, except for intracranial and pericardial blood vessels.

We diagnose and treat diseases such as aortic aneurysm, peripheral artery obstruction disease, Buerger's disease, vasculitis, varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis, lymphoma, and arteriovenous fistula.

In addition, we strive to provide accurate diagnosis and treatment to patients through cooperation with other departments and surgery using state-of-the-art hybrid equipment (simultaneous vascular surgery and vascular procedure), and all members provide the best medical services for patient convenience and satisfaction.

Vascular Surgery field
  • 1
    Angiography
Angiography is a non-invasive diagnostic method that can evaluate the structure, function, and hemodynamic information of blood vessels through ultrasound images. Since angiography obtains images in real time, it is possible to analyze the structure inside blood vessels, blood flow, direction and speed of blood flow to determine whether there are vascular diseases such as the degree of stenosis of blood vessels.

    • the carotid artery
    • an arteriovenous fistula for dialysis
  • 2
    Vascular study
Vascular study measures the pressure and waveform of the upper or lower body using ultrasound and optical sensors, and can determine the presence of stenosis and obstruction of peripheral blood vessels.
    • Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) / Wrist-Brachial Index (WBI) test
    • Photoplethysmography (PPG)
    • Toe Brachial Index (TBI)
    • Raynaud scan

    Hybrid surgery
By using the state-of-the-art hybrid surgery equipment introduced for the first time in Korea, our team can provide complex treatment for diseases that could not be treated in the past, and is optimized for infection control during surgery, which is particularly effective in treating severe diseases. In particular, by performing surgery and procedures at the same time, it can reduce the incidence of complications, increase the success rate of surgery, and improve the long-term patency rate, making it a safe method for patients with other complications. We have great competency in safe and accurate treatment for vascular disease using this equipment.
